During a trip to Mexico Eleonora found the “alebrijes” those brightly colored Oaxacan-Mexican folk art sculptures of fantastical creatures. She visited the Museum of Popular Art in Mexico City and the first thing she saw was a giant Tree of Life in the garden and that's how she got the inspiration for this wonderful illustration.
