Maryam Lamei Harvani was born in 1985 in Sarab, a historical city in northwest Iran. Her work is rooted in the Iranian Golo Morgh tradition — a classical Persian painting style in which the flower represents the beloved and the bird the lover — but she pushes far beyond its boundaries, weaving together Persian miniature geometry, emotional fragmentation, and a quiet spiritual intensity that is entirely her own.

In 2025 alone, Maryam exhibited at Art Dubai with the Leila Heller Gallery, was featured as an illustrator in the New York Times, and created an exclusive artist collection for Starbucks. She has held solo exhibitions in Paris, Istanbul, and Dubai, and her work has been shown in more than twenty museums, galleries, and cultural centers worldwide.

The limited edition prints available at Toi Art Gallery are among the only editions of her work available to collect at home — each one numbered, signed, and printed on museum-quality cotton paper.
