Jin Kitamura was born in Tokyo, Japan in 1981. After graduating from Department of Arts at the School of Humanities and Culture at Tokai University he started his career as a freelance illustrator in 2006. He finds inspiration in everyday life, the simplicity of ordinary, yet beautiful things that surround us. His crayon drawings are bright, colorful, with a minimalist style that celebrates simple living and daily life. His works can be found in various media such as picture books, covers, merchandising products and press work.
