Hasmik ( Narjes Mohammadi) is a visual artist, illustrator and curator. She was born in 1985 in Mashhad, Iran and has lived in Tehran for many years. She studied Graphic Design at Shariati University, and continued her education in illustration at the Iranian Illustration Society. Her style combines a multiplicity of techniques such as pencil, collage, watercolor and digital. Hasmik loves nature. She is always inspired by looking, searching, walking and drawing in jungles, mountains and parks. Her work has been published in a variety of books and magazines internationally: in Iran, Canada, Australia, Italy and Spain. Her illustrations were selected in several exhibitions and festivals in different countries such as Belgrade, Bologna, Germany and many more. She recently started a new international digital magazine (Brightness). The magazine is a collaboration among illustrators around the world with the idea of innovating and divulge the status of illustration as an independent profession in the world.
