The french writer Anaïs Nin once said:  “We travel, some of us forever, to seek other states, other lives, other souls.” This artwork transmits the beauty of a journey; there is something very intimate in the perspective inside the bus, the rain falling outside, the comfort of the inside, the way people are together, the color of the flowers. It narrates the feeling of a journey within ourselves.

Andre Gide said that People cannot discover new oceans unless they have the courage to lose sight of the shore. Falling could, in fact, be part of a new beginning. Letting go. Surrender. There is a beauty in it. Daniella Gallego's artwork captures the beauty that comes out of the courage to jump in.

          • Insomnia by Daniela Gallego - Toi Gallery
            Quick shop

There is a three dimensional quality in this image. It tells the story of a innermost moment, in which exterior and interior come together. The light, the shadows and the fireflies create a mood of nostalgia. The lizard's shadow is intriguing, it's like her own thoughts projecting on the room. It has an emotional depth that contrast with the ephemeral of the moment.
