 About the artist:

Cagla Zimmermann is a self-taught freelance illustrator & designer currently residing in Vienna, Austria. Despite holding a master’s degree in International Relations, she always knew that painting was her true passion. Already as a child, she was very curious about other cultures, their traditions & costumes, and learned many different folk dances while growing up. This eventually led her to create her own artistic style and patterns, which are mainly inspired by nature, animals, music, and poetry. Although her choice of colors varies depending on her mood, she cannot give up on the energy of contrasting colors. While she experiments with different techniques, including digital ones, she mainly uses traditional methods and her favorite medium is acrylic gouache.
