Hanieh Ghashghaei was born in 1990 in Tehran where she studied Graphic design. she moved to Italy in 2014 and studied comics and illustration at the academy of fine arts in Bologna, and in 2017 editorial illustration at ABABO in Bologna.

She currently lives in Bologna where she works as a freelance illustrator for personal projects, agencies and magazines in Italy and abroad including The New Yorker Magazine, Hamelin, Gli Asini.

From 2014 to today you she participated in various collective and personal initiatives and exhibitions in Bologna and in Italy, including:

Hanieh's sources of inspiration are people, places, sensations, perfumes, lights, shadows and above all childhood memories and oriental fairy tales.
